Location

The hotel distinguishes itself, as do our other hostels, by its central location. Highlights such as the Cologne Dom (Cathedral), the Old Town and the Schildergasse shopping mile are in the direct vicinity. Further sights can either be seen by just taking a short walk or be easily reached with public transportation. It is especially easy for exhibition visitors to reach us. The STR 1 takes 8 minutes to reach Rudolfplatz from the exhibition hall Koeln Messe Deutz.

Facilities

52 rooms, including 5 single rooms and 10 double rooms, are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. To ensure guests a comfortable and relaxing stay, the hostel provides various services and facilities, including a baggage storage service, a safe, a TV room, a playroom, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a smoke alarm. Amenities at the hostel include a drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom, and individually adjustable heating ensures just the right temperature. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. The kitchenette comes with a tea/coffee station. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) ensure optimal comfort. A shower and a bathtub are included the bathrooms.
