Location
This luxurious hotel is located around 2000 m above sea level in the mountains where Ceylon Tea comes from and is only 6 degrees from the Equator. It was built in the time of the British Raj as a factory building. The nearest large town with plenty of shops as well as a beautiful lake and train station is around 50 minutes away with local public transport (15 km away). The bus station is around 5 km away and Colombo airport is approximately 190 km from the hotel (5.5 hours with public transport).
Facilities
57 rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing.
