A short walk of 5 minutes will take you to the centre of Plakias village, with bars, restaurants and shops. Plakias is a quiet and less touristic place, ideal for a relaxing holiday away from the crowded resorts.
There are plenty of taverns and restaurants in Plakias and in the villages around. Here you can expect fresh, delicious Cretan cuisine at low prices.
If asking for directions to the hotel in Plakias, ask for Horizon Beach Hotel which is the sister hotel of Thalassa House Apartments. Thalassa is a new property and most locals do not yet know where it is located.
