Peculiarities of ski holidays in Sölden
The ski area in Sölden includes 148 kilometres of slopes, with an altitude difference of about two kilometres. The resort’s glacier runs total 37 kilometres, and most of them are blue.
There are many red slopes, with a total length of 63 kilometres. The black slopes, the most difficult ones, have about 28 kilometres. Blue slopes — 53 kilometres.
The ski season in Sölden starts in November and lasts until May — this is the period when the resort has snow.
It is worth noting that Sölden is the only ski resort in Austria that offers three peaks over three kilometres high, accessible from the central part of the village. By the way, they are famous under the name “The Big Three”.
In Sölden, there are four schools for skiing and snowboarding. These institutions employ 240 instructors, including Russian-speaking ones.
