Accommodation tips in Venice. How to choose the hotel location
It is believed that the most comfortable area to stay in Venice is Santa Croce. We can also recommend the San Polo district. Here you can definitely save money. What’s more, San Polo is where many of Venice’s attractions are located. No less popular with tourists is the San Marco area, because if we’re talking about the places a traveler should visit in Venice, they are right here.
When booking a hotel room in the San Marco area, make sure its windows face Piazza San Marco.
You can choose a hotel in the Castello area — accommodation here will be relatively inexpensive. This district has cozy parks, and all of Venice’s main attractions are quite close.
If you are passionate about art, then you should choose a hotel in the Dorsoduro area. It is calm and comfortable here; we recommend choosing a room with a view of the lagoon to enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window. Dorsoduro is home to the famous Gallerie dell’Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.

Travel Guide to Venice
Venice is one of the most famous and popular Italian cities. It is a major tourist center; here you will find many attractions, you can travel by water transport, and you can take part in excursions and interesting celebrations.
Venice is a southern city, so summers are warm and sunny, winters are milder, although snowfall is sometimes recorded here. The best time to visit Venice is spring or autumn.
The main attractions of Venice are, of course, the gondolas, which locals and visitors to this wonderful city use to get around its streets. You can spend a pleasant time by booking a sightseeing gondola ride. Interestingly, in Venice the profession of gondolier is considered prestigious and is often even inherited.
Venice offers tourists a large number of attractions, including ancient churches and bridges, squares, and historic buildings. We recommend visiting Piazza San Marco, which is the very heart of Venice. Once, Marco Polo walked along it, and Napoleon called it “the most elegant living room in Europe”.
The tallest building in Venice is Campanila San Marco (bell tower). You can climb it and admire the beauty of the city on water from a height of one hundred meters.
Canal Grande (the Grand Canal) is Venice’s main waterway, with four bridges over it, one of which is called Rialto and is also one of the most luxurious.
In Venice there are many churches and cathedrals, as well as islands that tourists like to visit. If you have time, visit them to immerse yourself even more in the spirit of Venice.
