Advantages and features of a beach holiday in Ibiza
The total length of the beaches is 18 kilometers. The coastal landscape is adorned with massive cliffs and a narrow shoreline.
A mild Mediterranean climate prevails on the island, with no scorching heat. This is due to air masses that soften the atmosphere. The average temperature in winter is +15 degrees, and in summer +30.
The northern part of the island has the status of a secluded place for relaxation. This is where those who like to spend time one-on-one with nature come, for example, on the quiet beach of Cala de Portinatx. Or, to isolate themselves from club life, the location known as Cala de Sant Vincent is recommended, protected from the wind and the strong currents of the bay.
The eastern part is suitable for a family vacation. The south of the island is loved by fans of club life. Here you can enjoy local drinks in popular bars such as Aigues Blanques and Jockey Club. Most nightclubs and other entertainment venues are located along the coastline of Platja d’en Bossa. And the Platja Ses Salines area is loved by celebrities. Fans of gambling are welcomed by the island’s only casino, located next to Platja de Talamanca beach.
The west of the island offers a chance to spend your holiday for lovers of water sports, for example — the Cala Bassa area. Cala d’Hort beach is famous for its extraordinary view of the Es Verda rock, whose shape resembles an alien base. To reach the quiet harbor of Cala Salada, you need a car or a bicycle, but it’s worth it.

Ibiza – a paradise, free from everyday routine
For a break during an active holiday, guides recommend visiting attractions – and there are plenty of them.
For example, the ruins of the ancient Phoenician settlement Sa Caleta, discovered on the island’s southern shore. Historians assume that this very place became the cradle of Phoenician civilization. Sa Caleta is the only place where evidence of ancient colonization has been preserved on the territory of the Iberian Peninsula.
The historic insular quarter Dalt Vila is lined with stone paving and Gothic buildings. This coloring is softened by small houses with colorful shutters and very tiny balconies. A calm atmosphere reigns here, along with tasty food at low prices. Locals will delight tourists with hospitality and cordiality.
A visit to the white-stone fortress Puig de Missa is also recommended, built in 1568 in the town of Santa Eulalia del Rio. Previously, this building, unique for its architecture, was meant to protect the population from pirate raids.
And let’s not forget the most famous flea market, located in San Carlos.
Here you will find handmade items, incense, various musical instruments, and much more. The market is open at night as well. Musical events are also held here for tourists of all ages.
Among the natural attractions, the Cova de Can Marca cave is worth mentioning. Its special feature is the cool underground atmosphere, with odd shapes of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as amazing waterfalls. All of this is complemented by a music and light show.
And to recall the true Spanish spirit, full of rhythmic character, visit a small restaurant located in an amazing place – on the top of the Santa Agnes cliff. Here you can admire the extraordinary seascape from the viewpoint, as well as enjoy local dishes.
