EU citizens generally do not need a visa to travel to Spain. For non-EU citizens, entry is subject to Schengen visa rules. Before booking, we recommend checking the required documents together with your Admiral.Travel consultant.
What currency should I take and can I pay by card?
The official currency is the euro (EUR). In major cities and resorts you can pay by card in most shops, restaurants and hotels. However, it is useful to have some cash for markets, kiosks and small purchases.
What type of sockets are used in Spain? Do I need an adapter?
Spain uses standard European sockets with two round pins (220–230V). If your country uses the same type, you do not need an adapter; otherwise, it is best to bring a universal travel adapter.

Most hotels and cafés offer Wi-Fi, often free or for a small fee. You can also buy a local SIM card or use roaming from your home operator, depending on the available offers. Admiral.Travel managers can advise you on current options.
What local transport is available between Costa Brava resorts?
Local buses connect the main resorts; in some areas you can also travel by train or taxi. For excursions and private transfers, the Admiral.Travel team can help you choose safe and convenient options.

Yes, many Costa Brava resorts are very family-friendly, with beaches that have gentle entries into the sea, promenades for walking, playgrounds and hotels with kids’ clubs, children’s pools and animation programmes.
What meal plan do you recommend in Costa Brava hotels?
For most travellers, half board (breakfast + dinner) is enough, especially if you plan to spend your days on excursions and walks. In some hotels you can choose bed & breakfast only or all inclusive, depending on your travel style.
What can I do if it rains for a few days?
If the weather is not suitable for the beach, you can visit Barcelona, explore museums, aquariums and shopping centres, or join cultural excursions and tastings. Guides and local partners will suggest interesting options even on cooler or rainy days.
Are there opportunities for snorkelling and diving?
Yes, several Costa Brava resorts have centres offering snorkelling and diving trips with equipment included. You can book these activities in advance through the agency or directly at the destination.
What excursions are most popular from the Costa Brava?
Popular choices include day trips to Barcelona (Sagrada Família, Park Güell), coastal boat trips, visits to picturesque Catalan villages and water parks. Admiral.Travel managers will provide an up-to-date list of excursions and prices.
What is included in the flight ticket and how about luggage?
The details depend on the airline: some fares include only hand luggage, while checked baggage is extra. When you book, your consultant will explain exactly what is included in your package and what baggage can be added for an additional fee.
What are the usual check-in and check-out times in Costa Brava hotels?
In most hotels, check-in is after 14:00 and check-out is by 11:00–12:00. Exact times depend on each property. If you arrive earlier, you can usually leave your luggage at reception until your room is ready.
