Heviz - thermal lake in Hungary, born of a volcano and restoring youth

Lake Heviz is located in the west of Hungary, near the city of the same name. This is the only lake in the world with biologically active waters where you can swim. The depth of Heviz is 38 meters.

Lake Heviz is also unique in that the water in it is renewed every three days. This is due to the strong sources that feed it. There are ten such sources in total, and the fires carry radon waters into the reservoir, which include magnesium, potassium and calcium salts, and other useful substances.

Water procedures in Lake Heviz can be carried out at any time of the year, as the water in it is always warm. In summer, its temperature reaches +38 degrees, and in winter it drops below +22 degrees.

Lake Heviz is good and useful not only for swimming, which can heal from various kinds of diseases - the water in it is also used for drinking, which also has a healing effect. Its composition includes a large number of very rare elements that promote healing and rejuvenation.

Heviz is considered to be the best resort in Europe, where the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system is successfully carried out. This flower grows right on the lake, at the end of the 19th century it was brought here straight from India. It is important to note that picking a flower is strictly prohibited here, as it is listed in the Red Book.

In the area of ​​Lake Heviz there is a medieval Sümeg castle, where knightly tournaments and feasts are held. The city often hosts street balls, beer festivals, concerts, etc. Visiting the area called Vinnaya Gorka, you can look into the old church and buy good Hungarian wine (of course, not in the church itself!).
