Excursion to the house-museum of Salvador Dali in Figueres

Figueres is one of the most interesting cities in Spain, and it is located almost on the border with France. One of the most important and interesting sights of Figueres is, of course, the house-museum of Salvador Dali.

From Lloret del Mar you can go on an excursion to Figueres, and you can even do it on your own. It is necessary to overcome the distance of 79 kilometers, and this can be done with the help of a bus.

The bus from Lloret del Mar goes to Girona, where you can transfer to the train that will take you to Figueres.

At the Estacio d'Autobusos de Lloret de Mar stop, take the bus to Girona. The road will take no more than an hour. The ticket price is about 10 euros. Arriving in Girona, you need to go to the railway station stop and there take the train leading to Figueres.

You can return back in the same way - first by train to Girona, and from there by bus to Lloret del Mar.

Why is the Salvador Dali House Museum in Figueres of such great interest to tourists? The fact is that it was designed by the artist himself, and is his last work. It is one of the most popular museums in all of Spain, and the only museum it falls short of in popularity is the Prado Museum in Madrid.

A feature of the house-museum of Salvador Dali is its transparent dome, which has become the emblem of the Theater-Museum and the icon of Figueres.

In the museum building you will see paintings, sculptures, engravings, holograms, stereoscopes and photographs - in total about one and a half thousand exhibits are presented to your attention. In many rooms of the museum, the walls and ceilings are decorated with large drawings.

Under the main floor of the house is a crypt with the grave of Salvador Dali. It was here that the great artist was buried, although his last wish was to bury him in Pubol Castle.

The ticket price for visiting the theater-museum of Salvador Dali is 15 euros.

Do not miss the great opportunity to visit one of the most interesting places in Europe!
