Visiting fortress Soroca
Fortress Soroca was built in the XV century by Stefan the Great (Stefan cel Mare) for the purpose of defense against Tatar troops who those years attacked the Moldovan land, crossing the Nistru river.

Visiting the monument “The Candle of Thanksgiving”
The monument “The Candle of Thanksgiving” («Lumânarea Recunoștinței») is about thirty meters height and has a form of a burning candle. The construction was built as a thanksgiving to authors, which made an effort to save the Moldovan language, history and culture.

Visiting gypsy village
The famous “Gypsy hill” will amaze you with its houses and palaces. You will see eagles and lions, which are used as decoration, as well as statues and figures of ancient gods. On the houses you will see mosque dome, three horses, and even the spire of the Admiralty of St. Petersburg.

Return to Chisinau
