Almost always in the advertising offers of travel agencies there is the wording "hot tours". But, unfortunately, not everyone understands what this wording means, and therefore they lose a lot. We will now explain why.
What are hot tours and where do they come from?
Hot tours are vouchers that appear on sale literally 1-3 days before the start of the trip. In more detail and accurately, a last-minute tour is a trip bought by a tour operator, which risks being unsold on upcoming departure dates. In order to recover their costs for the tour, the tour operator reduces its cost. Quite often, this is a price that is below cost.
Simply put, this is a normal sale - that is, everything that remains on the shelves is dumped at a price below cost. As a result, the discount from the standard price can reach 70%!
As you understand, the main advantage of last-minute tours is, of course, a very favorable price.
I would like to tell you a little about the features of last-minute tours, which are important to take into account.
Firstly, you need to buy a last-minute tour right away, because it appears on sale, as we have already said, 1-3 days before departure. Naturally, in this situation, the number of places is very limited.
It is not easy for large companies and groups to find a good option when buying last-minute tours, because usually 8-10 places are on fire.
It's also important to note that most last minute deals are 7 or 6 night stays and this is the standard package.
Hot tours include hotels of the middle category, with average ratings, or completely new hotels. Hotels that have good reviews are sold out in advance.
Hot tours to beach destinations appear in April and may be available until mid-July. The farther, the less burning tours become, and in August they practically disappear. Again last-minute tours may appear only in the last days of summer.
Finally, one important thing needs to be said: there are no guarantees that there will be a last-minute tour on any particular date. Agents compare last-minute tours with "fishing" or "lottery" - this means that you may be lucky and there will be a lot of them, or it may be that last-minute tours will not be on sale at all.
As you can see, last-minute tours are exactly what you should pay close attention to when you are looking for a suitable and inexpensive vacation package. The main thing is not to miss the moment!
