The benefits and features of a beach holiday in Thassos

Thassos, a Greek island, is located in the Aegean Sea. It is the northernmost island of Greece. As for the local climate, it is shaped mainly by the forests that cover a large part of the island. In summer, Thassos is not very hot, and the weather is quite comfortable for a holiday - the average temperature here does not drop below +25°C and does not rise above +30°C.

Beach holidays are the island’s main focus, with well-equipped beaches - Makriammos, Limanaki, Glyfada, and others.

In the Skala Potamia area, there is a white-sand beach called Potamias. There are also wonderful beaches between Panagia and Patamia - Chrissi Ammoudia and Chrissi Akti. They are framed by dense vegetation that stretches right down to the water. The shoreline here has a gentle slope, which makes it easier to relax with children. There are no strong winds here, as this place is sheltered from them by Mount Ipsario.

On Thassos there is a beach called Paradise. It is one of the most popular beaches on the island, with camping spots and much more. Nearby is Pefkari Beach, surrounded by pines. The air here is clean and very healthy.
