YIANNIS RETREAT

Set in a fragrant garden, Yiannis Retreat is a traditional complex of stone houses in the lush valley of Kato Zakros in Crete. It offers free bicycles and self-catered accommodation 800 metres from the beach.

The air-conditioned rooms at the Retreat Yiannis have wooden ceilings, stone walls traditional decorative items. Each includes a kitchenette with a dining area, a microwave and fridge. Guests are provided with products such as coffee, jam, olive oil and local spices. All units have a balcony or patio with views to the garden.

Guests can relax in the garden that is created on 3 different levels with private corners, deck chairs and swings. A garden with organic fruits and vegetables is available for guests.

Scenic Zakros village is 8 km away and has shops and small cafés. On the beach in Kato Zakros Bay there are some taverns serving Cretan cuisine. The famous Gorge of the Dead is a 2-minute drive, while Sitia Airport is at 40 km. Free private parking is available on site.
